Cartoonists from Bulgaria and Croatia with group exhibition
19 May, 2017
Two Bulgarian cartoonists, EUROPOST artist Ivaylo Tsvetkov and Trayko Popov, have collaborated with their Croatian colleagues Nenad Ostojic and Nikola Listes to open a group exhibition called 2+2 at the Striegl City Art Gallery in the Croatian city of Sisak. The four artists showed a total of 60 cartoons on various themes. The event was attended by Valery Alexandrov-Valex, vice president of FECO – Bulgaria (part of the Federation of Cartoonist Organisations). The international cartoon project 2+2 is the brainchild of renowned Croatian cartoon artist Nenad Ostojic. The idea is for two Croatian cartoonists and two foreign ones to work together on group exhibitions to be displayed both in Croatia and the respective second country. The organisers chose Bulgaria for their first partner and last year made a guest appearance in Gabrovo, where the project was launched with 60 works put on show. Now the Bulgarian artists return the visit.
