23 June, 2017
A group comprised of the heads of diplomatic missions and representations of international organisations accredited in Bulgaria visited firms in the Rakovski Industrial Zone, part of the Trakia Economic Zone cluster. The diplomatic corps visit was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in association with the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Tourism and Trakia Economic Zone.
The successful business model of Trakia Economic Zone facilitates Bulgaria's presentation to leading international companies and contributes to raising their level of interest in expanding their existing operations in the country, which in turn serves as a clear signal for the favourable investment conditions in Bulgaria, Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov noted in his welcoming speech. Over the past several years, our country has been developing as an attractive destination in the field of the automobile industry and customer and business service centres. Karanikolov identified the good location and transport infrastructure as well as access to suitable plots and skilled labour as important factors in attracting investments.
More than BGN 2bn have been invested in Trakia Economic Zone since its establishment 22 years ago, said Governor of Plovdiv Zdravko Dimitrov.
