An intervention exhibition entitled Homo Virtualis, which reflects Recycle Group artists' thoughts regarding the transformation of art perception in the mass media age, is being presented in Moscow. It occupies the space between exhibits of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the TASS news agency reported.
The permanent exhibits on display in the museum halls will be interspersed with 16 objects made using augmented reality technology. They should be viewed with a special mobile application to truly appreciate the spirit of the exhibition.
The display will challenge the Moscow audience’s way of thinking until 20 August. Recycle Group was founded in 2008 by Andrey Blokhin and Georgy Kuznetsov. The art group shows its works with great frequency in places associated with contemporary art in France, Italy, the UK, the US and Belgium. This year, their project Blocked Content is presented at the Russian pavilion at the 57th international exhibition of contemporary art Venice Biennale.
