Queen biopic starts filming in September

Queen have confirmed that their biopic is due to start filming in September, Contactmusic reported. The picture directed by Bryan Singer will star Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. The rockers assure that Bohemian Rhapsody: the Film will hit theatres soon. The original band was comprised of Brian May and Roger Taylor, as well as past member John Deacon and the late Freddie Mercury. Queen have announced that work on their biopic is officially underway, with principal photography due to start in September.
Rami Malek is set to star as the legendary frontman Freddie Mercury, who passed away in 1991 from complications with AIDS, while Bryan Singer, the creator of X-Men, will direct the biopic.
Brian May, 70, and Roger Taylor, 67, are ecstatic that Singer and Malek are involved in the realisation of the project.
