CorpBank case starts on 13 December

The court case regarding the draining of CorpBank is set to start on 13 December and will be tried in the Specialised Criminal Court. The judge assigned to the case is Virzhinia Petrova. All the copies of the indictment combine for over 210,000 pages.
The final specified charges, described in over 5,000 pages, have already been brought against each of the 18 defendants. More than 400 witnesses have been questioned. Over 90 expert opinions have been written by 27 experts. The volume of evidential material, including tangible evidence and enclosed documents, exceeds 1,360 files. Tsvetan Vassilev (pictured) has been charged with 76 offences, including leading an organised crime group and gross misappropriation of funds.
Among the defendants is also the former deputy governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Tsvetan Gunev, who is charged with misappropriation of funds.
