Rehashing the Romanian narrative
1 December, 2017Fake news items about Romania’s amazing achievements in combating corruption and how its approach should be emulated in Bulgaria are being industriously churned out by the Fake News Factory of the Capital media group and its satellite websites. In perfect synchronicity, the talking points were formulated by former PM Ivan Kostov’s minions Radan Kanev and Lozan Panov and disseminated by their obliging media channels. The two politicians (even though one is officially a magistrate) are diligently paving the way for a reshuffling of the justice system, including the appointment of a new Supreme Judicial Council, trying to use the visit of an esteemed Romanian magistrate to the country as a smokescreen. Oligarch Ivo Prokopiev’s Dnevnik did not feel shy about explicitly stating what is most important to the oligarchic group, the message behind Panov’s babbling about Romanians, boats and lack of rowers.
