YOUNG@OPERA launched in Bulgaria
9 February, 2018
From 17 to 23 February, Bulgaria will become the first country to host the two-year international project YOUNG@OPERA realised in association with the Operosa Foundation. This is the first Bulgarian project for cultural cooperation to receive European Union funding under the Creative Europe programme.
Young opera talents and musicians from Bulgaria, Montenegro and Serbia will perform the classical music from the La serva padrona opera by Giovanni Paisiello. The Bulgarian audience will have the privilege of being the first to enjoy the classical pieces performed by soprano Aleksandra Stankovic (Serbia) and bass Bozhidar Bozhkilov (Bulgaria). The opera will be directed by Vladan Durkovic (Serbia), while Magdalena Vlajic will do the set design and Lina Lekovic (Montenegro) will be the costume designer on the project. The show will make stops in Bansko (17 February), Sofia (18 February), Gabrovo (20 February) and Pleven (23 February).
