Tarantino to make a film about the Manson Family
14 July, 2017Quentin Tarantino is starting to put together a film based on the true story of the so-called Manson Family murders. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he is already talking to some A-list Hollywood actors, recruiting them for the project. The Manson Family was a quasi-commune led by the mentally disturbed Charles Manson. In the mid-1960s he began to attract a group following, most of them young women with emotional and psychological problems, rebelling against their parents and society as a whole. He brought down their inhibitions and questioned their notions of good and evil. Most of his followers were weak-willed, naive and trusting people, whom Manson manipulated with ease. Drugs provided him with yet another instrument to mould their personalities in service of his own needs. Four members of the Manson Family committed seven murders in the span of two days in 1969, including that of the pregnant Hollywood actress Sharon Tate (wife of director Roman Polanski).
